natuurlijke behandeling zijn er géén onderbouwde wetenschappelijke artikelen (
Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT)). En zijn er géén publicaties van Case-studies. Bij de 'PhytoBox studies' wordt er verwezen als
'bewijs' (dat niet kan dienen als bewijs!) naar
'studie artikelen' van anderen over onderzoeken
in vitro (reageerbuis),
of onderzoeken met ratten, muizen, kippen.
Bij de
kostbare supplementen van 'MakeWell Europe Ltd' (Londen, Engeland) en van 'Just Herbs Europe' is er helemaal geen informatie beschikbaar.

Sommige artsen of patiënten linken slaapproblemen automatisch aan de ziekte van Lyme. Slaapproblemen kunnen ook

Er kan sprake zijn van een inslaapstoornis - biologische klok stoornis (Advanced sleep-wake phase disorder (ASPD) en Delayed sleep-wake phase disorder (DSPD)), doorslaapstoornis, chronische insomnie, of andere slaapstoornissen als parasomnieën, rusteloze benen, hypersomnolentie, slaapapneu. Genoemde aandoeningen kunnen als een aparte aandoening/ziekte naast de ziekte van Lyme bestaan. Voor de aandoeningen is een goede behandeling bij een neuroloog nodig.

Wij adviseren u om niet zomaar melatoninetabletten te gebruiken. Het juiste tijdstip van inname wordt namelijk bepaald door het moment waarop uw lichaam zelf melatonine aanmaakt. Dit is dus persoonlijk. Verkeerd gebruik van melatoninetabletten kan uw biologische klokritme nog verder verstoren. Gebruik melatonine daarom alleen in overleg met uw arts..
Het zelf dokteren met melatonine is erg onverstandig. Melatonine kan op een verkeerd tijdstip worden geslikt en

There is also evidence to suggest damage at cellular level, with ‘crashing’ when pushed. There is autoimmunity and immune dysfunction as a result of infection with Lyme and co-infections, which in turn create a cascade of infection, inflammation, and autoimmunity.

We may perceive calmer waters around us with the lifting of the COVID restrictions of the last two years in the UK, but we are still stuck with the after-effects of what is variously called Long-COVID and Post-COVID. A great deal of stress on the health front is being driven by these syndromes with multiple manifestations. The close to one hundred COVID services that have been established by the NHS aiming to provide access to specialist diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation turn a blind eye to one of the key contributors to the syndrome, despite a wealth of scientific literature as well as clinical evidence pointing to it: the reactivation of dormant coinfections.
This newsletter is dedicated to helping those patients and practitioners looking for solutions to the problem. AONM in conjunction with ArminLabs has now launched two Post-COVID Viral Reactivation Panels to help bridge that gap.

So how can one pick up ongoing but chronic infections, which is the difficulty with coinfections of Long COVID/Post-COVID?
Using T-cells to show a cellular response against antigens is much more sensitive, and has a much higher likelihood of indicating active infection.
EliSpot (enzyme-linked immunosorbent spot) technology has long been used in Germany to do exactly this: it quantifies T-cells that secrete signature proteins (such as a given cytokine) against a specific antigen. EliSpots performed by ArminLabs in Augsburg, Germany, evaluate the number of spot-forming units using a stimulation index (SI) based on IGRA (Interferon Gamma Release Assay).

The study is limited by a small sample size from a single centre. In addition, the cohort of 155 who were initially enrolled may not be representative of all patients after acute infection with COVID-19. For instance, many patients who did not have persistent symptoms may have felt there was no need to attend an outpatient service and were not contactable for follow-up at Timepoint 2. In addition, the cohort may be over-representative of patients with persistent symptoms. Furthermore, most of the cohort were HCWs, who may have experienced a greater amount of mental and physical stress than the general population, meaning that final outcomes may be an over-estimate of the impact of PoCS alone, although statistical significance was not found between HCWs and other patients in this study. Potentially, a larger sample size would have identified a significant difference between the 2 groups. Similarly, a number of variables showed a trend towards significance as predictor variables for the development of PoCS, such as the number of symptoms during acute COVID. A larger sample size may have also found these variables to be predictive, as larger studies have shown. In addition, there were no baseline SF-12 questionnaires before COVID-19; some individuals may have had lower scores at baseline because of co-morbidities or other factors..

Natuurlijke behandelingen 'baat het niet dan schaadt het niet'?..
Mensen kunnen denken baat het niet dan schaadt het niet maar zij maken daarmee toch een denkfout. Natuurlijke behandelingen en natuurlijke middelen en supplementen kunnen net als reguliere behandelingen ernstige bijwerkingen/klachten en of (blijvende) gezondheidsschade veroorzaken.
Behandelaars in privé-klinieken in Nederland of in het buitenland, natuurartsen, Ilads Lyme&me/cvs artsen, AVIG Lyme artsen en therapeuten die met natuurlijke behandelingen en supplementen werken schrijven vaak langdurig veel kostbare natuurlijke middelen en supplementen voor. Er wordt patiënten veel beloofd.. verbetering en of genezing. Natuurlijke behandelingen zijn de laatste jaren duidelijk een groot
verdienmodel geworden!
Het dagelijks gebruiken van
grote hoeveelheden natuurlijke middelen en supplementen is zorgelijk te noemen. Ook de wisselwerking tussen de natuurlijke middelen en supplementen en de wisselwerking met reguliere medicatie kunnen ernstige bijwerkingen/klachten (dat door behandelaars en patiënten vaak wordt afgedaan als een 'Herxheimer reactie' en er bij zou horen; dat een absoluut verkeerde conclusie is) en (blijvende) gezondheidsschade veroorzaken. De bijwerkingen/klachten of de allergische reacties van reguliere- en of natuurlijke middelen kunnen worden verward met een 'Herxheimer reactie'.
